Print, oban tate-e, from the series Sakura hachidai (櫻八題), Eight Scenes of Cherry Blossom, plate Hirosakijō (弘前城) Hirosaki Castle. Signed Yoshida and stamped Hiroshi and Hiroshi Yoshida in pencil in the margin. Self-published, 1926 (small holes in the margins).

Hirosaki Castle is a Japanese hirayama-style castle built in 1611. It was the seat of the Tsugaru clan, which ruled Hirosaki (now Aomori Prefecture). Most of the original structures have been preserved.
