First edition, illustrated with 50 watercolour plates of costumes. Richly illustrated work describing Switzerland. Handwritten bookplates on the flyleaf: Miss Hodges (dated 4 March 1818) and John St James (dated 24 March 1846).
Ann Yosi was a watercolourist. She lived and travelled in Switzerland from 1802 to 1813.
