ZAPLE-UHR, SMALL GLASS BELL CLOCK, VIENNA CIRCA 1850 A delightful little Zapler-uhr clock, also known as a 'cow-tail' clock, made of gilded and chased bronze, depicting a rare Christmas scene, in which a young girl is intent on decorating the Christmas tree in front of her home. Gifts and delicacies surround the base of the tree. Below the ridge, one notices the small dial with Roman numerals in black, burnished steel hands, pendulum movement with visible cow's tail pendulum; clock currently in working order, protected by a thick glass bell with wooden base.
