In these works, Uecker transfers the principles of his well-known nail reliefs - structure, rhythm and light effect - to the medium of paper. Subtle changes in the rhythm and perception of the composition are created through the targeted variation of the forms, which look like fingerprints. In the context of Uecker's oeuvre as a whole, the permutation works reflect his ongoing interest in systems of order and their transformation. Lithograph on wove paper. Signed, dated and numbered.
