Godman and Osbert Salvin deals with the most diverse areas of flora and fauna. The seventh volume by Albert Günther deals with 695 different species, which he researched with the help of collections sent to him. The detailed descriptions are supported by the 76 lithographic plates by J. Green. The splendid and detailed illustrations of various reptiles and amphibians are each titled in the print.
