Two Frankfurt faience lidded vases. Ovoid form with a short cylindrical neck and a six-fold ribbed form with a corresponding hexagonal lid. Rich, full-surface fire decoration in light cobalt blue. The ovoid vase with alternating fields of chinoiseries of figures in landscapes and large flower bouquets; the other vase with rich floral decoration of peonies and other flowers. H. 34 cm-36 cm. Provenance: Dissolution of an important German private collection - part II. Two German blue and white faicece vases and covers. Frankfurt am Main. Circa 1680-1700.
