Two large representative Biedermeier mirror consoles in walnut and Karelian birch, veneered with inlays of various woods and wood, carved, moulded and gilded. Mirrored back panel above a concave, stepped, rising plinth, with full columns set far back and conically widening volute struts to support the corresponding frame and slightly protruding top panel. Tall, raised mirror top with straight framing, flanked by set three-quarter columns with Ionic capitals. Cambered cornice above with sculptured oak leaf frieze and stepped rising cornice with central crowning of a tondo with applied brass relief rosette. Two-part mirror glass. Overall height 274 cm. 99 cm x 45 cm. The two pieces of furniture originate from the context of a hall or other representative room of an upper middle-class or stately home. A further mirror console of the same design is still in the possession of the consignor. Two large representative walnut and birchwood veneered Baltic Biedermeier mirrors and console tables.
