TWO-PIECE CUTLERY SET WITH KNIFE AND FORK
1st half of the 17th century.
Octagonal handle, the long facets with mosaic-like, partly marbled inlays in stone and mother-of-pearl. Faceted baluster-shaped grip cap in coral with a knob finial. Blade bolster faceted in a baluster shape and gilt. Centre-pointed blade with forge mark. Fork with two prongs, the conical neck and bolster gilt.
L Knife 16.5 cm, fork 14.5 cm.
Half of the knife's coral pommel missing. Various flaws, chips and cracks to the handles. Gilding rubbed.
