RARE PETIT RINCE-PINCEAUX IMPÉRIAL EN BRONZE DORÉ ET ÉMAUX CLOISONNÉS Marque et époque Qianlong (1736-1795) An IMPERIAL GILT-BRONZE AND CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL 'PEACH' WASHER Qianlong four-character mark and of the period Finely cast in the form of a small hollow peach borne on leafy branches, issuing a smaller peach nestling at its side, the exterior vibrantly decorated with auspicious emblems and bats scattered among multi-coloured clouds, all reserved on a bright turquoise ground, the base with a four-character mark cast in relief and gilt, wood stand. 14cm (5 1/2in) long. (2). 清乾隆 掐絲琺瑯桃式洗「乾隆年製」款 Provenance: Formerly in a German collection, acquired in Shanghai in the 1920's (by repute), acquired from the family 來源: 德國私人舊藏,於1920年代得自上海(傳) 現藏家得自上述來源 A cloisonné enamel censer of peach form but much larger size, dated to the Kangxi period, was sold in Sotheby's New York, 17 September 2013, lot 280. A related incense burner and cover in the form of a three-lobed peach with applied gilt handles is illustrated by Helmut Brinker and Albert Lutz, Chinese Cloisonné: The Pierre Uldry Collection, Zurich, 1989, no.293. A similar enamel peach-shaped Yongzheng marked censer from the Imperial collection is published in Classics of the Forbidden City. Enamels in the Collection of the Palace Museum, Beijing, 2011, no.139.
