RARE PETIT RINCE-PINCEAUX IMPÉRIAL EN BRONZE DORÉ ET ÉMAUX CLOISONNÉS Marque et époque Qianlong (1736-1795) An IMPERIAL GILT-BRONZE AND CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL 'PEACH' WASHER Qianlong four-character mark and of the period Finely cast in the form of a small hollow peach borne on leafy branches, issuing a smaller peach nestling at its side, the exterior vibrantly decorated with auspicious emblems and bats scattered among multi-coloured clouds, all reserved on a bright turquoise ground, the base with a four-character mark cast in relief and gilt, wood stand. 14cm (5 1/2in) long. A related incense burner and cover in the form of a three-lobed peach with applied gilt handles is illustrated by Helmut Brinker and Albert Lutz, Chinese Cloisonné: The Pierre Uldry Collection, Zurich, 1989, no.293. A similar enamel peach-shaped Yongzheng marked censer from the Imperial collection is published in Classics of the Forbidden City.
