Et pour 7 500 Francs, un prix défiant toute concurrence, la firme aux Chevrons offre la 10 HP Type A. - Le succès est au rendez-vous et 22 700 voitures sont construites jusqu'en décembre 1920, majoritairement des Torpédo 4-places 3-portes, équipés de série d'un démarreur et de l'éclairage électriques. - En juin 1921, la type A devient B2, avec notamment un nouveau moteur cubant 1 452 cm3 contre 1 327 cm3 auparavant, propulsant l'ensemble à 75 km/h. - Elle sera la dernière Citroën dotée d'une structure mixte bois et acier. A la fois robuste et fiable, elle contribuera à la réputation de la marque aux Chevrons, servant notamment de base aux autochenilles utilisées durant la Croisière Noire. La B2 fut fabriquée à près de 90 000 exemplaires répartis en quelques 25 types de carrosserie. - Notre exemplaire est un élégant Torpédo 4-places usine (la plaque Citroën est toujours présente !), sain, et a priori complet. Il conviendra de procéder aux vérifications et travaux d'usage avant sa remise en route.
