Casque et accessoires du parachutiste allemand Geistlich, comprenant un casque de parachutiste modele M38 en metal, les marquages de fabricant et de taille etant devenus illisibles. La peinture de camouflage trois tons vert/sable/ocre est conservee a environ 70 %, appliquee selon une technique de balayage. La coiffe est complete mais fortement degradee, et la jugulaire, bien que presente, est tres fragilisee. L’ensemble inclut egalement un carnet intitule Deutscher Luftwaffen Kalender 1944, en mauvais etat, portant l’indication nominative Karl Geistlich, avec de nombreuses annotations manuscrites, notamment au mois de decembre 1944. Une cartouchiere pour Mauser 98K en cuir grenele noir, complete mais au cuir sec, fabrication Lemercier 1943, est egalement presente, marquee au nom de Geistlich. Tres bel ensemble attribue a un parachutiste allemand ayant pris part a la bataille des Ardennes. L’ensemble presente une usure caracteristique, ainsi qu’une patine d’epoque. Etat II+. The threetone green/sand/ochre camouflage paint is about 70% preserved, applied in a brushed pattern. The liner is complete but heavily degraded, and the chinstrap, though present, is very fragile. Also included is a badly worn Deutscher Luftwaffen Kalender 1944 with the name Karl Geistlich and numerous handwritten notes, especially from December 1944. A black pebbled leather Mauser 98K ammo pouch, dry but complete, marked Lemercier 1943, is also included and named to Geistlich. A fine attributed grouping belonging to a German paratrooper who took part in the Battle of the Bulge. The set shows characteristic wear and period patina. Condition II+.
