Ces unites ont ete essentielles pour soutenir la defense de Bastogne contre l offensive allemande. Le 20 decembre 1944, Villeroux se trouvait dans le soussecteur attribue au 327e regiment d infanterie de planeurs de la 101e division aeroportee americaine.
