207. A Meissen two-handled beaker and saucer, circa 1726-30
The lower half of the cup and the underside of the saucer moulded with fluting coloured in green and gold, the beaker painted with a continuous chinoiserie scene, the saucer with a chinoiserie scene within a gilt scrollwork cartouche filled with Böttger lustre and embellished with foliate scrollwork in shades of iron-red, formal gilt c-scroll borders to the rims, the beaker: 8.2cm high; the saucer: 12.3cm across incised / inside footrim of beaker (2)
