A Meissen two-handled beaker and saucer, circa 1726-30 The lower half of the cup and the underside of the saucer moulded with fluting coloured in green and gold, the beaker painted with a continuous chinoiserie scene, the saucer with a chinoiserie scene within a gilt scrollwork cartouche filled with Böttger lustre and embellished with foliate scrollwork in shades of iron-red, formal gilt c-scroll borders to the rims, the beaker: 8.2cm high; the saucer: 12.3cm across incised / inside footrim of beaker (2) Provenance The Delphinium Collection: a private British collection of 18th century Meissen, sold at Bonhams London, 20 March 2013, lot 40 A similar two-handled beaker and saucer was in the collection of Friedrich Girtanner, Zürich, sold by Rudolph Lepke's Kunst-Auktions-Haus, 9-10 December 1926, lot 86.
