The "Dayazhai" mark is represented as an oval cartouche with the inscription "大雅齋" (Daya Zhai) in the centre, framed by two symmetrical dragons, symbols of power and protection. "Dayazhai" is the name of a hall located within the "Tiandi Yijiachun" complex at the Yuanmingyuan Summer Palace. Originally, 'Tiandi Yijiachun' was the residence of Imperial Concubine Cixi at Yuanmingyuan, and thus 'Dayazhai' became the personal mark used by Cixi for her private belongings.
