APULIAN GLOBULAR PYXIS WITH LADY OF FASHION. Ca. 350 - 320 BC. A red-figure globular pyxis composed of two fitted halves: a domed lid and a footed base. The lid is surmounted by a spool-shaped handle. The upper body is painted with profile busts of the so-called “Lady of Fashion”, with added white, set between scrolling palmettes. The lower half is decorated with a laurel wreath bordered by dots and stands on a broad foot with a stepped profile.
