Chinese famille rose canton porcelain "gui-gu-zi 鬼谷子" plate. The central illustration depicts a historical scene "guiguzi descends the mountain"， a man holds a red horse, while others discuss. There is also a seated（gui-guzi） figure in a wheeled cart pushed by an assistant. The background includes trees, a pavilion and clouds, giving depth to the composition. The rim of the plate is richly decorated with flowers, birds and intricate patterns in bright colours, characteristic of traditional Chinese ceramics. 19th/20th century. D : 25 cm. Perfect condition.
