Technical inspection
Chassis no. HBJ7L21141
The quintessential British roadster! Superb lines coupled with one of the most reliable and enjoyable 6-cylinder engines of its time...
The ideal entry ticket for all touring rallies!
Purchased in 2006 in Germany by the current owner, a major French collector, the BJ7 version is easier to drive than its predecessor the BT7: the 3 carburettors were dropped as they were too difficult to adjust, and above all the sliding side windows and (at last) a bonnet worthy of the name and easy to fit were adopted.
A very elegant colour combination, the car has been extensively restored in the past, and the bodywork is in average condition.
bodywork in average condition, with some areas in need of repair (corrosion on the bonnet and floorboards), upholstery in good condition, slightly torn soft top.
The car has been out of service since 2016, but the mechanics are still running, but the future owner will have to overhaul the entire vehicle, as a leak has been detected in the carburettor system, making it impossible to carry out an extended test. The vehicle was given a second inspection in March 2024 to check the working order of the headlights and the condition of the floorboards.
An interesting basis for restoration for a DIY enthusiast wishing to drive a superb British 6-cylinder with his hair blowing in the wind...
Vehicle files and condition reports are available on request and must be viewed in full by bidders prior to the sale.
