RING 18ct gold set with a large Grand Tour intaglio on saguin jasper. The scene reproduces a marble relief from the Villa Albani (Rome, inv.948), a variant of which is cited among the works of the engraver Louis Pichler and entitled "Faune e Citeriste dall'antico". A faun is depicted facing a bacchante, both in an ecstatic dance. The engraving is of high quality, with great rendering of anatomical details. Slight signs of wear, and superficial crack. (cf.
