CARÊME (Antonin). Le cuisinier parisien, ou l'art de la cuisine française au dix-neuvième siècle. Paris, au dépôt principal, 1842. In-8, half hazelnut calf with corners, smooth spine, gilt fillets with cold trellis between, green basane title page, cold garland on the edges of the leather covers (Modern binding). "Third revised, corrected and enlarged edition" which is in fact the second edition of the work, the "first edition" having never existed, except with the mention "second edition" (1828). 25 line-engraved plates, after drawings by Carême, by Normand fils, Hibon and Thiérry (title-frontispice and 24 folding plates). A fine copy. (light foxing to the text, as always).
