Portuguese M917/30 helmet. British made MkI type shell, marked BS for the firm W. Beardmore & Co, without rim band. Portuguese tan leather helmet with bomb stamp. Chinstrap present and in good condition. Manufactured from the 1930s. On front of helmet, DCT insignia with Aviz cross, acronym of territorial civil defence, post-1939 used until 1974. Black mark indicating storage with another English helmet stacked on top. Otherwise in very good condition. Portuguese Helmet M917/30British-made Mk I-type shell by W.
