Amaranth, satinwood, boxwood, maple and other tinted and fire-stained woods inlaid in the form of decorative vases and flower bouquets in rectangular reserves and fillets. Slightly trapezoidal body on a cut-out frame and slightly curved legs and sabots. Front with two sans-traverse drawers. Bronze mounts. “Brèche Rouge du Languedoc” marble top. 2 keys. 79 × 44 × 83 cm. Inlay work in the form of vases and flowers as well as musical attributes are recurring motifs in Caumont's furniture, which he preferred to use in combination with colorful fruitwoods. The decorative motifs were always hot-sand shaded, and refined with mother-of-pearl or ivory inlays, as seen in the item on offer. Leicht trapezförmiger Korpus auf ausgeschnittener Zarge und leicht geschweiften Beinen und Sabots. Front mit zwei Schubladen ohne Traverse. Bronzebeschläge. Einlegearbeiten in Form von Vasen und Blumen aber auch von Musikattributen sind wiederkehrende Motive in Caumonts Möbeln, wobei er die Verwendung von farbigen Obsthölzern bevorzugte.
