EGYPTIAN POLISHED STONE JAR.
Old Kingdom, Ca. 2900 - 2600 BC.
A jar carved from stone with a vertically oriented ovoid body tapering to a circular, flat base. The prominent collar rim overhangs the shoulder and is separated by a shallow groove.
