EGYPTIAN SANDSTONE RELIEF FRAGMENT WITH OFFERING SCENE.
New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. A sandstone relief fragment preserving part of a horizontal register with two male figures carved in sunk relief. Both are depicted in profile facing right, wearing close-fitting caps and raising their right arms. Resting across their shoulders is a long, horizontal object carried by both figures, terminating at one end in a trefoil-shaped finial. Size: 530mm x 205mm; Weight: 5.74kg Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex. Gallery Gunter Puhze. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
