EGYPTIAN SERPENTINE KOHL VESSEL WITH REMOVABLE LIP AND LID.
New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. A small vessel carved from dark green and brown-veined serpentine, with a lentoid body tapering to a ring base. The neck is fitted with a separately worked annular lip, and the vessel is closed with a flat, circular lid. For similar see: A.
