EGYPTIAN YELLOW QUARTZITE FISH BOWL FRAGMENT.
New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC.
A fragment of a shallow bowl carved from yellow calcite in the shape of a tilapia fish, with a rounded snout, incised gill markings, and a perforated eye. The interior is smoothly hollowed.
