GARLIN (Gustave). La bonne cuisine, comprising 880 titles with observations and 70 supporting engravings. Paris, Garnier, 1898. Small in-8, publisher's beige percaline with large black decoration on first board, spine and second boards also decorated. Rare edition, with illustrations in the text. Unknown to Bitting, Cagle, Oberlé. Garlin's aim with this volume was to make haute cuisine accessible to as many people as possible. A copy in its attractive illustrated boards, very fresh. Signature A. Stehelin in ink on the title page.
