Their artistic practice is primarily influenced by their Romanian heritage and the local myths, costumes, crafts and vernacular motifs associated with this region. The Tobias brothers combine these biographical elements with motifs from popular culture, abstract art and contemporary graphic design. The result is a varied yet highly personalised body of work that oscillates between archaic cultural mythology and contemporary visual culture.
