GRAECO-PERSIAN STAMP SEAL WITH RAMPANT STAGS.
Ca. 600 - 500 BC.
A white agate stamp seal composed of a tapering, faceted body with a flat circular base. Surmounting the upper portion is a perforated knob for suspension. The base is engraved with a balanced figural scene showing two ibexes rearing on their hind legs with forelegs entwined, flanked by dotted rosettes and smaller ibex heads, all set above a horizontal baseline.
