GREEK BLACK GLAZE PLATE WITH STAMPED PALMETTES.
Ca. 400 - 300 BC. A black-glazed shallow dish with a wide profile, gently curving inward at the rim, and set on a ring foot. The interior is decorated with a stamped central motif comprising four palmette-like sprays radiating in a cross-shaped arrangement around a central circle; each quadrant contains an additional palmette.
