Introduced in 1961, the Jaguar Mark 10 (often referred to as the "Mark X") represented the pinnacle of the British marque's luxury saloon range. It was the largest and most prestigious Jaguar of its time, designed to rival the top-of-the-range models from Rolls-Royce and Bentley, while retaining the sporting image that Jaguar was known for.
Technically, it introduced independent double-wishbone rear suspension derived from the E-Type, providing remarkable comfort and superior handling for a large saloon. Under the bonnet, it was powered by the famous XK 3.8-litre in-line six-cylinder engine, with either a manual gearbox with overdrive or an automatic transmission. Its imposing size, luxurious wood and leather interior and high performance made it a true 'sports limousine' of the 1960s.
Sold new by Charles DELECROIX, this majestic "barn door" car is in strict original condition, very sound and has been successfully put back on the road. The car is fitted with two SU carburettors instead of three. Mileage on the odometer: 95,460 kms. The car is due for a complete overhaul, including a check of all safety features.
