Number 6 on a square of Gdfb cloth sewn onto the headband, troop chinstrap with leather slides secured by 2 small brass infantry-type buttons. Brass vents painted scarlet. Leather visor with a hexagonal cold stamp on the underside. 4.8 cm basane and hessian frame lining with hexagonal stamp. Leather lined cap, oval reception stamp dated 1897. Underneath the lid, round stamp with date 1897, underneath regimental number. A good regulation kepi. Leather visor with hexagonal impressed stamp on the underside. 4.8 cm leather sweatband and jute carcass lining bearing a hexagonal stamp. Leather-lined crown with oval acceptance stamp dated 1897, round stamp with same date and handwritten serial number beneath the vent. A fine regulation kepi. Signs of wear.
