A North African Roman terracotta oil lamp. Fine red clay, thin-walled oil lamp with
traces of bright red slip. Sunken central discus with filling hole showing Dionysos,
on the left, in drunken sleep on a throne, with grapes on his head, holding his staff
(thyrsus) and Eros standing on the right, fully draped and wings spread. Volute
lamp with wide nozzle, no handle. No potter's mark. 1st half of the 1st Century A.D.
