Lot no. 64
LANCIA A 112 ABARTH Launched in 1969, this little front-wheel drive competed with the famous British 'Mini', which was also produced in Italy under licence. In 1971, a more luxurious version appeared, the 'E', and above all a sporty version, the Abarth. The latter featured a larger 982 cm3 engine with 58 bhp, a matt black bonnet and a range of sports equipment. However, this power output was deemed a little 'too little' for a sports car, and in 1975 the brand offered a new version. The engine was increased to 1049 cm3 and power now reached 70 bhp. Thanks to its small dimensions and low weight (700 kg), it became a real 'beast of a racer' in rallies and hill climbs, winning numerous categories. Different series followed, marked only by minor cosmetic changes to keep up with the times. The A 112 Abarth ended its brilliant career in early 1985, with a total production run of over 140,000 units. Youngtimer from 1984 with 45300km. In near new condition, it benefits from the factory sunroof option. The interior has been completely redone by a renowned upholsterer. It has always been sheltered from the elements and parked in a garage. Its mechanical maintenance has been scrupulously carried out by professionals. Many spare parts are sold with the car: - Stainless steel exhaust, original Abarth wheels, rally meter installed, doors, tailgate, rear-view mirror and a wide range of mechanical parts. Veteran status vehicle. Probably the finest example in existence. Don't miss this rare opportunity for classic car enthusiasts!
