[MAYOR]. ARCHIVES OF THE MAISON MAIRE IN BEAUNE (1780-1850). Exceptional set of manuscript archives of a Beaune wine merchant from the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The Maire trading house was founded in Beaune at the end of the 18th century. After passing through the ages, it was absorbed by another firm in the 1930s. This archive is of great historical interest, as it traces the history and life of the wine trade during the turbulent period of the Revolution and Empire in particular.
Most of the items are preserved in modern boxes. (The references at the end of the notes "Document no." and Roman numerals correspond to internal filing).
