MEDIEVAL SILVER AND NIELLO RING WITH GEOMETRIC CROSS Ca. AD 1100 - 1300.
A silver ring with a flat, diamond-shaped bezel decorated with a geometric cross composed of four triangular fields enclosed within an incised border and divided by intersecting dotted lines. Each triangular field is filled with petal-shaped niello inlay arranged symmetrically around the central axis, while the shoulders bear niello-filled lozenges framed by incised lines.
