Motobécane Mobyx X1 "moto-valise", 1971 Motobécane Mobyx X1, folding moped with a 49.9 cm³ inclined two-stroke single-cylinder engine, equipped with a centrifugal clutch and an automatic variator. Pedal start. First registered on 1 September 1971 - Serial number 01000585 (Mines plate riveted to the column). Normal French registration (non-collection) in order. Condition and comments: The car presented here is in its original state, with its original equipment, and has an appearance and patina consistent with its age. The beige/ivory and white fairing has a few minor dents and visible cracks and dings, particularly at the rear. The headlight glass is missing. The chrome and hardware are in generally good condition, as are the black imitation seat, alloy wheels and other equipment (including folding handlebars and pack carrier). The tyres are apparently in good condition, but should be checked before being put back on the road. Good used condition for an example over 50 years old. Complete and running but in need of minor cosmetic attention and the optics need to be brought up to standard. Start-up and operation found to be faultless during testing. The vehicle has been kept in a private collection.
