PAIR OF GREEK GOLD AND SILVER DISC APPLIQUÉS WITH ROSETTES. Ca. 300 - 200 BC. A pair of silver disc appliqués, each composed of a thin, circular silver plate with a slightly concave surface. At the centre of each is a separately affixed gold rosette, formed of thirteen rounded petals radiating from a raised central boss. The outer edge of each disc is encircled by a border of stamped triangular and zigzag impressions. For similar see: M. De Juliiis, Gli ori di Taranto, in Età ellenistica, Cat. 97, 73A.
