A Roman single-handled urn with lid. Fine small globular urn raised on a narrow base with a
wide, flared top opening; the rim supports a tight-fitting lid decorated with small notch-
es, circular ridges, and a spliced knob handle. A single strap handle with two deep grooves is
attached to the middle body of the urn. Vessel made of a fine grey clay fired very hard to produce
a remarkably thinwalled vase. 1st Century A.D.
