RARE EGYPTIAN GRANITE HEAD OF A MALE VOTARY. Ptolemaic Period, Ca. 200 - 30 BC. A head carved from granodiorite, representing a male votary with naturalistic facial features. The face is broad, with small, recessed eyes, a flattened nose, and a prominent brow. The top of the skull is partially bald, and shallow horizontal lines are visible across the forehead. At the back, a rectangular dorsal pillar extends vertically and widens slightly towards the base.
