S.l., Vers 1890-1899 in-8 (22,5 x 15 cm) red box, decorated with a mosaic of a bottle, glass, saucepan, knife and chopper in light blue, blue, orange, grey and brown box; gilt title on the spine La cuisinière provençale contains 332 recipes and 35 sauces; La Cuisine exotique par un Cordon Noir, 15 recipes; 13 Contes Nègres, and 164 "Morceaux choisis" by various authors. It is illustrated with 22 ink drawings enhanced with watercolour and 68 ink drawings, most signed Revesse. Drawing on page 357bis dated 1899.
Superb work, with a neat handwriting (the author has regulated his text, lines in pencil).
Several unpublished texts by Reboul concerning cooking (explanations, comments on recipes such as following the Mayonnaise "Important observation. For however simple it may seem and really is, the making of a mayonnaise sauce ..." pages 432-33).
