ROMAN BRONZE STATUETTE OF APOLLO. Ca. AD 100 - 200 . A bronze statuette of Apollo, likely based on a Hellenistic prototype. He has a long, attenuated body and youthful, almost effeminate curves. The god is depicted nude, standing on a thin rectangular integral plinth. His weight is on his right leg, his left leg bent at the knee with the heel lifted. His torso twists slightly, with his right arm held before him and his left holding the cloak. For similar see: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Accession Number: 2021.40.57.
