A carnelian intaglio engraved with an erotic scene showing a woman reclining on a high-legged couch, her torso upright, left leg raised, and left arm lifted. In front of her stands a nude male figure with a visible erection, supporting her raised foot with his right hand. Below the couch, a winged figure, likely Cupid, crawls to the left. The intaglio is mounted in a wide, oval bezel set within a substantial tapering gold hoop. Reviewed by Sami Fortune, an ancient jewellery specialist.
