STUNNING GREEK BRONZE FIGURAL SITULA WITH ATHENA IN ARMOUR. Ca. 350 - 300 BC. A bronze situla with a tall, tapering body terminating in a disc-shaped base and a broad, circular mouth framed by a series of fine horizontal ridges. The handle ends in paired curved extensions that pass through double loops positioned above the attachments. One is modelled as a lion’s head with a flowing mane and open jaws, functioning as a spout; directly beneath it, a perforated strainer is integrated along the interior wall.
