Superb miniature anvil, symbol of reconstruction under Vichy, on one of the two sides we can read the words Forgeons la Nouvelle France Ph. Petain Lyon 1942. A hammer is linked to the anvil by a small tricolour ribbon. It is very likely that this anvil was one of the gifts given to Marechal Petain during the audiences he granted every Thursday at the Hôtel du Parc.
