Nearby, a crane with an elegantly curved neck adds a sense of harmony and balance to the composition. Surrounding the birds, lush peonies in brilliant pinks and greens symbolise prosperity and beauty. Other small birds, including one perched on a tree branch, add to the liveliness of the scene.
