A Chinese monochrome "flambe-glaze" porcelain vase. The globular body rising to a high cylindrical neck, supported by a flared foot ring, applied throughout in a cherry red glaze enriched with splashes of lavender and blue, the glaze around the rim of the mouth tapering to a mushroom brown tone, penetrating to the interior with a streaked soft blue glaze 18/19th century.
